We often tell our kids not to play or get messy with their food. But we like to do the opposite. We think it’s important to let kids express their ideas and creativity. Consider Annie’s Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars. They are delicious and healthy on their own, but why not spice it up with different items you already have in your pantry. It's a great way to get kids involved in creating and cooking. Below are creations that mom and kids approve. With a little creativity, I'm sure there are many other items in your pantry that can turn into wonderful new snacks. Enjoy!
With Your Coffee – This granola bar is not only for the kids (wink..wink..) Mommy loves to savor it with a nice flat white.
As A Topping – Crumble the granola bar and top on yogurt for breakfast or ice cream for dessert.
On The Go Mixed Snack – Cut them in small pieces and mix it with almonds, dried apple, and pretzels. Great for lunch bag or mom on the go!
Post Workout Fuel – Cut in squares and make mini sandwiches with any kind of butter. This is a must try. So good! Perfect for after sport activities.
Just Because – Dip the granola bars in melted chocolate. Add sprinkles, nuts, and more chocolate. Perfect for a birthday or tea party. This is a fun project for kids.
